    Class Communication:

We frequently share important information and updates throughout the season. We communicate through the Remind App and our Private Facebook Group, and sometimes through paper handouts. As your child's caretaker, it is your responsibility to be a part of these groups, and to read all announcements, documents, reminders, and news. We want your dancer to be as successful as they can be in class, and you play a big role in that by staying up to date on all studio information. Instructions on how to join below:

Please turn on notifications so you know when something has been posted to these platforms.

  • Additional Policies

There is no waiting area in the studio. Family members may not watch classes inside the studio unless invited in by the instructor.

    * Not applicable to Early Childhood Classes: First Steps to Dance, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet

Siblings (Early Childhood Classes):  We understand that families sometimes need to bring older or younger siblings to class. Siblings are welcome to hang-out with parents and watch. If siblings are regularly participating in class, they should be enrolled in the program.

Students should arrive a few minutes early for each class. Please don’t arrive more than 5 minutes early, as there will be no one available to supervise your child.

Please help your child be successful by bringing him/her to class prepared. Students are REQUIRED to wear specific clothing and hairstyles to class. You can find these requirements in the policies above. They should also be encouraged to have a snack and use the bathroom BEFORE they come. They should bring a water bottle to class.

All students are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Any student acting with disruptive, unsafe, or other unacceptable behavior may be asked to leave.

If your child is ever not feeling well, he/she should stay home. Students with obvious signs of illness will be asked to leave.

  • Waiver & Release of Liability:

I give voluntary permission for my child to participate in classes, workshops, events, therapies, and/or services (collectively, the “Activities”) offered by Sage & Tansy Studio (“Studio”) and/or its owners, instructors, volunteers, tenants, service providers, employees, and independent contractors. The Activities may be offered in the physical location of the Studio (24 W. Main St. in Ione), at another location, or offered online by videos or other digital media/platforms. All of such offerings, either physical or online, shall be considered “Activities.”

I understand that participating in these Activities involves risk of damage, illness, or injury. I represent and warrant that my child is in good physical and mental health and has no medical condition which would prevent his/her safe participation in the Activities. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician if appropriate, prior to and regarding my child’s participation in the Activities. If I have consulted a physician, I have taken the physician’s advice. I further understand that it is my responsibility to request and complete a new waiver form on future visits to the Studio (either physical or online), if my child experiences a change in health which may affect his/her safe participation in Activities.

I understand that Studio representatives reserve the right in their absolute discretion to refuse my child’s participation in any Activity due to medical, safety, or fitness concerns, or on any other grounds.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Activities, I agree to assume full responsibility and liability for any risks, injuries, or damages to person or property, known or unknown, which might occur as a result of my child’s participation in Activities offered by the Studio. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the Activities, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claims I may have against the Studio, its owners, employees, instructors, service providers, volunteers, independent contractors, and/or tenants (each, a “Released Party”) for any injuries, loss, or damages that my child (and anyone accompanying my child) may sustain as a result of participating in Activities offered by the Studio. Myself and/or any of my heirs, executors, representatives, or assignees hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue any Released Party. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless each Released Party from any loss or liability incurred in defending any Claim made by me, or anyone making a Claim on my behalf, even if the Claim is alleged to, or did result, from the carelessness or negligence of any Released Party.

Photo/Video Release: I understand that Studio representatives may photograph or video Activities, and use such photographs and videos for the Studio website, social media accounts, and marketing materials. I hereby consent to the use of my child’s image, which may appear in any such photographs or videos.

This agreement shall be construed in accordance with, and governed by, the laws of the State of California. I acknowledge that I have carefully read this waiver and release of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily and knowingly agree to the terms and conditions stated herein. I am aware that by signing this form, I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue and certain legal rights my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and assignees may have against any Released Party. I acknowledge that this agreement will remain in effect unless specifically terminated in writing by either party.
